Una storia per il futuro. Dieci anni di MAXXI / A Story for the Future. MAXXI’s First Decade is an exhibition that celebrates the first ten years of the MAXXI museum, curated by Hou Hanru with the curatorial team and designed by the Dutch studio Inside Outside.
The book, edited by Hou Hanru and Elena Motisi, deliberately not conceived as a catalog, is an experimental practice to transform and connect the contents of the exhibition into something that has a completely different use. The book is a key to decoding, through the vision of the curators, the high number of contents that the museum has created in ten years. Graphic design has to manage many levels of reading, guiding but also making the reader lose themselves in a complex rhizomatic network of mental connections.
